One of our recent customers was having trouble finding a garage door that would take up minimal room within the garage itself due to space being at a premium, yet be automated whilst also providing effective cover against the elements. They were after a roller door however the coil on standard roller doors was just too large for their garage door opening. Fortunately we had a solution in mind which was the SWS Compact Roller Garage Door.

SWS Compact roller garage doors utilise an insulated aluminium slat that is significantly narrower than those featured on the SeceuroGlide. This allows a tighter, smaller coil requiring just 8” (205mm) of headroom, giving in this case the owners of even the smallest garages the option of a high quality remote controlled door.

This SeceuroGlide Roller Garage Door comes fully automated, featuring a right hand motor. The Garage Door also has built-in timed courtesy lights & manual winding handles which means the Garage will still be accessible in case of a power failure.

SeceuroGlide Compact Roller Garage Doors also feature maximum weather protection to block cold draughts whilst also keeping your garage warm especially during the coming cold, autumn and winter months.

One of our recent customers had requested a Garage Door which would be relatively inexpensive, secure yet attractive and in a darker colour allowing less maintenance in terms of minor blemishes and stains on the exterior of the door due to this garage being located in a block of garages.

We suggested the Hormann 2002 Steel Canopy Up & Over Garage Door in the horizontal ribbed design. The reason why we suggested the canopy over the retractable was because the customer had more than enough room externally when entering the garage however was limited for space within the garage itself.

Canopy Up & Overs give the customer extra space by allowing the door panels to protrude approximately 1/3 forming a canopy with no tracks running back into the garage when the door is closed. Retractable gearing on the other hand means the door panel opens on horizontal tracks which go back into the garage, thus limiting space within the garage itself.

This range has been created exclusively for the UK market and is produced in imperial dimensions and three gear options, with superb designs for every style of property.

Hormann series 2000 doors are galvanised with a high-quality polyester powder-coating and come protected against adverse weather conditions and corrosion, both of which maintain the beauty of the door during its lifetime. The style 2002 features a horizontal panel design and comes available in 7 colours including Terra Brown & Signal Blue.

Hörmann doors and operators are tested by the TÜV (German Technical Inspectorate) as a single safety unit.
