Two fully automated Markilux 1600 Stretch semi-cassette patio awnings

A pair of fully automated Markilux 1600 Stretch semi-cassette retractable awnings  with cassette and arms in anthracite metallic, and 31316 striped Sunvas fabric. Installed in Little Kingshill by our Watford branch. The awnings feature Markilux IO radio controlled motors and multichannel remote handsets.

The dynamically rounded cover-board gives it the appearance of a full cassette awning. During the closing procedure, the cover-board tilts automatically down to meet the given pitch of the awning and together with the front profile encloses the roller tube completely (except underneath). The Markilux 1600 was awarded the IF Product Design Award for its exceptional, organic design characteristics.
