Different Doors. A Coordinated Look.
Your front door and garage door are two of the most noticeable features of your home. Choosing them together can bring balance to the whole frontage, whether you prefer a traditional appearance or clean, contemporary lines.
At Access Garage Doors, we help you explore the different ways to achieve that look. Some combinations use matching designs from the same manufacturer. Others bring together doors from different brands, linked by their colour, panel details or frame finish.
Whether you are planning a complete update or replacing just one door, we will help you find a combination that suits your home, practical needs and budget.

Replacing Both Doors or Just One?
Choose a New Front Door and Garage Door Together
Choosing both doors at the same time gives you the freedom to consider the whole frontage. We can compare colours, styles and finishes side by side, helping you decide which details to repeat and where you would like each door to have its own character.
Start with a front door you love, a preferred garage door style, or simply an idea of how you want your home to look.
Match a Door You Already Have
Happy with your existing front door but ready to replace the garage door? Or looking for a new front door to complement your garage?
We can assess the existing door and explore suitable options. Its colour, surface finish, panel layout and frame can all provide a starting point. If an identical design is unavailable, a similar style or carefully coordinated colour may achieve the appearance you want.
More Than One Way to Make a Match
Match the Colour
A shared colour can bring different door styles together. This can be a particularly cost-effective approach when choosing doors from different manufacturers, giving you more freedom to balance appearance, features and price.
Coordinate the Design
Horizontal lines, vertical detailing, traditional panels or glazing can create a visual connection between your doors. The designs can be similar without every detail being identical, allowing each door to suit its size and purpose.
Choose a Matching Manufacturer Range
Selected ranges from manufacturers such as Hörmann and Ryterna offer coordinated garage and entrance door options. These can provide a closer relationship between the designs and finishes, depending on the products selected.
Bring the Frames and Details Together
Door frames, garage door surrounds, glazing and handles all contribute to the overall appearance. Matching the door colours while coordinating the frames separately can help connect them with your windows and the rest of your home.
Matching Options for Different Garage Door Types
Roller Garage Doors
With their horizontal slats, roller garage doors are usually coordinated with a front door through colour and finish. This makes them a useful option when you want a consistent appearance while choosing a front door with its own design.
Sectional Garage Doors
Sectional garage doors offer a choice of panel patterns, ribbing and surface finishes. Horizontal detailing can work particularly well alongside contemporary entrance doors, while selected manufacturer ranges offer coordinated combinations.
Up-and-Over Garage Doors
The broad choice of up-and-over door designs creates plenty of opportunities to coordinate with a front door. Depending on the range, vertical lines, panelled designs and traditional detailing can provide a useful visual link. Colour and frame choices can help bring the combination together.
Side-Hinged Garage Doors
Side-hinged garage doors can suit both traditional and contemporary homes. Their panel layout, proportions and finish provide different ways to coordinate with an entrance door or a separate garage side door.
Include Your Garage Side Door
A separate garage side door can be part of the same scheme, continuing the colour or design around your property.
Depending on the range, it may be possible to coordinate the side door closely with the main garage door, or choose a simpler design in a complementary finish. We can explore the options whether you are replacing all your doors or adding a new side door to an existing garage.
The Details Make the Difference
Choosing a colour is an important starting point, but the surface finish matters too. Smooth, textured, matt, gloss and wood-effect surfaces can give similar colours a different appearance.
Where available, a manufacturer’s colour reference or RAL code helps narrow the choice. We will also consider the finish, the surrounding frames and the condition of any existing door when assessing the match.
Our aim is to help you understand how the proposed combination will look together before you order.

What Our Clients Say
Great service all round
Access were ready to answer my questions at any time; the showroom is invaluable for seeing the product itself; they held onto the door until I was ready to install without quibble; installers came on time, installation was completed in good time and waste was cleared; they gave a quick tutorial on the workings and the controllers, many thanks.

Excellent Service
We were after something a little bit different to the normal, Access were the only company we spoke to that actually understood what we wanted and John and Chris came up with a door that met our needs. It wasn’t an easy fit but Dave and Wayne took care to ensure it was going to work before fitting it, both were friendly and knowledgeable of the product, they came up with a solution for fitting, and did a clean and tidy job. We thoroughly recommend Access to anyone looking for a new garage door.

Great Job - Thank you
I had three quotes for my garage roller door, and Access Garage Doors stood head and shoulders above the others.
Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, even when I changed my mind about the outside surround.
My garage now has loads more space compared to the old up-and-over door, and the house is noticeably warmer too.
Well worth it.
Cheers

Did exactly what was needed
Prompt, clear comms, new door came within the times they estimated and was fitted well. We were given clear options, costings and it all felt impressively straightforward.
I am also impressed because a couple of years ago we'd sought their advice about putting an automatic opener on our existing door and they assessed that the door was getting too old - it wasn't a good idea to change - this was excellent advice or we could have paid twice.

Very professional company; excellent customer service
Prior to contacting Access, we had tried two other firms - one didn't want to get involved once they knew the make of the door involved whilst the other attended but the 'repair' did not work for long !
We thought we would need a completely new door but Access managed to repair it very effectively and saving our neighbours a considerable amount of money. We were most impressed by Access'excellent customer service and professionalism.
